A 2200 sq.ft. house with a separate studio & car port and a gatehouse and store at the entrance to the property. The house included part of an existing cabin although, for the most part, this was new-build work. A conventional architectural vocabulary was adopted for the property which comprises large open plan sitting/dining/kitchen, a master bedroom with walk in closet and ensuite bathroom, two further bedrooms with shower room and a separate mud room. A deck runs the full length of the south elevation and has access from the sitting room and the ensuite bedroom. Above the carport is a studio/office with an eyebrow dormer window and a patio door at the studio access deck. Finishes are traditional, with asphalt shingle roof, cedar shingle walls and fir windows. Internally, simple off white walls with hardwood floors generally but with ceramic tiles in wet areas with undertile heating. Comprehensive building design services were provided with construction management on a separate trades basis.
